Pakistan National Travel Grants

AIPS Conference Travel Grants to the United States to fund travel to scholarly conferences for the presentation of papers.

All AIPS Pakistan National Conference Travel Grant applications will be reviewed on a twice annual basis.

Award:
International Travel Grant to the U.S. (up to $2,000; reimbursement for conference travel): Must be a Pakistani citizen

Eligibility and Criteria:
• Must be a Pakistani citizen residing in Pakistan
• Must have written proof of proposal acceptance from the conference organizer(s)
• Must present at an invited conference or workshop 
Note: Invited single lectures are not eligible
• Presentation preferably related to Pakistan Studies or your stated discipline (with preference given to those in the Social Sciences and Humanities)
• Application must be for a future conference and, hence, future travel
• Capped to one award per person per year
• Preference to those who have not received a travel grant in the previous two years

• Verify your eligibility by reading the above “Eligibility and Criteria”
• Email the AIPS office at aips@pakistanstudies-aips.org to confirm availability of travel funds and request access to the Pakistan National Conference Travel Grant application
• Follow the instructions provided by AIPS staff

Application Materials:
• Online form completed successfully
• Paper abstract
• CV
• E-mail or PDF evidence of your paper having been accepted
• Letter of support from a faculty advisor (students only)

Deadlines:
All AIPS Conference Travel Grant applications will be reviewed biannually. Applications must be received by 11:59pm CST. The AIPS Review Committee will make all awarding decisions.

• Round 1: June 15th
• Round 2: September 1st

(Note: All applications for travel grants for the Annual Conference on South Asia must be received by September 1st. Applications received after September 1st will most likely not be reviewed.)

Awards are funded by AIPS' unrestricted funds and are pending availability of funds.
